The Moreton Bay Regional Council has granted the 11th Light Horse Caboolture Troop & Military Museum Association Inc. the sum of $3000 under their Local Community Support Grants Scheme to construct a Storage Shed with racks and lighting on their Lease at the Caboolture Historical Village, 280 Beerburrum Road, Caboolture.  The colour has been selected to blend in with the building.

The project will provide a storage shed for museum artefacts not on display, and presently held in an overfull storeroom. With Artefacts stored in the new shed we will be able to easily access artefacts and be able to refresh our existing Display Cases with items presently in storage, so that return visitors will see different displays.

The Museum includes a wide range of military artefacts some from the Zulu wars of the 1870s, some of which are behind glass whilst others, such as the World War 1 Limber Wagon (one of the few in existence) and the 40 mm Anti Tank Gun (Deactivated and a Memorial) are open to the public. The Museum is open to the public seven days a week with free entry to the Museum.

The Museum is a Registered Charity and DGR and donations of money or gifts of Memorabilia are Tax Deductible.  We do not receive any Government Funding for operating costs, and our enthusiastic volunteers work hard to raise funds.  Please contact the Curator if you have something you would like displayed.
